Nexium 40 mg contains the active ingredient esomeprazole magnesium. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and relieve symptoms of osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
Nexium 40 mg is used to treat or prevent the following conditions:
It also reduces swelling in the joints (osteoarthritis, a rheumatic condition), pain in the back, and the muscles, and reduces pain, tenderness, and stiffness in the joints.
Nexium 40 mg works by blocking the action of an enzyme called histamine H1 (a substance in the stomach) in your stomach, which is responsible for making stomach acid. This makes your stomach work harder to work hard to move food from the stomach to the intestines. As a result, the stomach can become overworked and it can cause pain and cramps, which can be uncomfortable and disruptive to daily activities. It also reduces inflammation in the intestines, such as by reducing the amount of stomach acids that enter your body through the intestines. This medication is usually taken orally, with or without food, for up to 14 days.
Nexium 40 mg is usually taken once or twice a day, with or without food, as directed by your doctor. It is recommended to take it about one hour before or after food, as directed by your doctor.

What is Gastro-Resistant TabletGastro-Resistance is an important medicine's pharmacological activity. It works by inhibiting an enzyme called H. PDE5 is responsible for breaking down some of the gastric acid in the stomach. When H. PDE5 is inhibited, it allows the acid to be absorbed through the stomach and causes stomach contents to be released. By breaking down H. PDE5 in its gastric passages, it inhibits the action of H. PDE5 decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach. This allows the stomach contents of the stomach acid to be released and distributed throughout the stomach, causing ulcers, diarrhoea, and also helping to relieve the symptoms of acid reflux. Nexium Control provides 7 Tablets for treatment of symptoms of heartburn, indigestion, and acid reflux. These tablets work by limiting the amount of stomach acid produced by the body. However, it is important to keep in mind that these products may be available with other brands or generic products.
